The Engagement ceremony
which is set days before the
white wedding. At the start of
the ceremony, the groom
dances in with his friends, (and
family members within his age
group). He has to prostrate for
every member of the bride’s
family three times (including the
youngest ones). After this, the
Alaga Iduro goes back and forth
between both families, informs
bride’s family of proposal and
reasons for visit. After much de-
liberation, they decide to accept
the guests.
